Volleyball Recap: Deerfield's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Deerfield was the 2-0 winner over Grayslake Central when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Among those leading the charge was Evan Page, who had 14 digs and two assists. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Deerfield fell to 5-1. As for Grayslake Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Deerfield will take on Stevenson at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grayslake Central, they will take on Grant Community in a tournament on Saturday.
