Even though the Cross Lanes Christian Warriors scored an imposing 61 points on Tuesday, the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors still came out on top. Mount Hope Christian Academy snuck past Cross Lanes Christian with a 67-61 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mount Hope Christian Academy.
Mount Hope Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but JOSIAH MCKOY led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. MCKOY is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was MARSHALL DORADO, who scored 20 points.
Mount Hope Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Cross Lanes Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.
Mount Hope Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Pipestem Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pipestem Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Thursday. As for Cross Lanes Christian, they will be playing at home against Elk Valley Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
