Preview: Lima Christian Saints vs. Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats
The Lima Christian Saints will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lima Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jasper-Troupsburg in New York (Lima Christian is ranked 47th, while Jasper-Troupsburg is ranked 209th).
Lima Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were dealt a 59-28 defeat at the hands of Finney. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lima Christian has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Lima Christian got a solid performance out of Alyssa Marsh, who scored 13 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The contest was Marsh's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Negbegble, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Jasper-Troupsburg ended up a good deal behind Hammondsport on Wednesday and lost 47-30. Jasper-Troupsburg has struggled against Hammondsport recently, as their match on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Lima Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Jasper-Troupsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
