Softball Game Preview: Renville County West Jaguars vs. Benson

The Renville County West Jaguars will challenge Benson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Renville County West fell victim to Minneota and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 11-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

Renville County West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenna Hinderks, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Hinderks has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Benson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 26-0 to Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta.

Benson's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Renville County West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
