Mt. Shasta gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They won by a run and slipped past the Modoc Braves 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Braves on Friday, they had to take a 7-5 defeat.

Keikea Ferguson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mt. Shasta's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sabyn Solus, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Mt. Shasta has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 11-5 Etna and 11-6 Etna (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.5% over those games). As for Modoc, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-7.

Mt. Shasta has already played their next match, a 14-0 win against Dunsmuir on the 6th. As for Modoc, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-3 victory against Etna on the 9th.
