Preview: John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles vs. Open Door Christian Patriots
The John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Open Door Christian Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, John F. Kennedy suffered a rough 63-40 defeat at the hands of Rhodes. John F. Kennedy has not had much luck with Rhodes recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Damairus Logan, who scored 12 points. Damarion Logan was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-40, which was the final score in Open Door Christian's tilt against Cleveland Central Catholic on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Open Door Christian has scored all season.
John F. Kennedy dropped their record down to 9-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Open Door Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
John F. Kennedy took a serious blow against Open Door Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 75-42. Can John F. Kennedy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
