Volleyball Recap: Cannelton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cannelton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Christian Academy of Madison Defenders. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Defenders from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Cannelton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jordyn Carter had ten digs and three aces. Carter has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Cannelton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Christian Academy of Madison, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Cannelton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Rock Creek Academy on the 22nd. As for Christian Academy of Madison, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
