Preview: Barnegat Bengals vs. Manchester Township Hawks
Barnegat is 0-10 against Manchester Township since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Barnegat Bengals will be home for the holidays to greet the Manchester Township Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Barnegat will be strutting in after a win while Manchester Township will be coming in after a defeat.
Barnegat had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Liberty 63-9 on the road.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Manchester Township, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-37 loss to Pope John XXIII on Saturday.
The losing side was boosted by Devyn Quigley, who scored 22 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Andrews, who scored eight points.
Barnegat's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Manchester Township, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Barnegat came up short against Manchester Township when the teams last played back in January, falling 51-40. Can Barnegat avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
