Softball Recap: Tillamook Cheesemakers vs. Astoria Fishermen

Tillamook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 22-9 to the Astoria Fishermen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cheesemakers of the 9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jaylin Krumweide made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Hannah Obrist was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Tillamook's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Astoria, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2-1.
