Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 8-5 to the Parker Braves. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Rylan Covington made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Gonzalez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Parker, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Parker will challenge Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside will be paying especially close attention to Parker's contest: after Parker faces off against Westside, they'll take on Riverside again at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
