Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Mansfield challenged Seymour on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16.

Devynn Ball paced Mansfield's offense, picking up five kills. Ball got some help from Addie Brooke and her ten assists.

Mansfield has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Seymour, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13-1.

Mansfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Blue Eye on the 11th. As for Seymour, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Niangua on the 11th.
