Hardin wins going away against Colmesneil

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Founders Christian, the Hardin Hornets were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-48 victory over Colmesneil. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hardin also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.
Leading Hardin to victory were Ricko Denman and Landon Layton. Denman scored 23 points along with 6 steals, while Layton dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Denman has scored at least 25% of Hardin's points. Another player making a difference was Josue Ibarra, who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Hardin's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Colmesneil, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Hardin's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hull-Daisetta at 1:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Hull-Daisetta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Colmesneil won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Shepherd at 10:30 a.m. on December 2nd. Shepherd presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Colmesneil in Texas (Shepherd is ranked 493rd, while Colmesneil is ranked 1228th).
