Softball Recap: Russellville Comes Up Short

Russellville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the Bowling Green Purples. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Purples this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 back in April.

Russellville's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Bowling Green, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-13-1 record this season.

Russellville will head out on the road to take on Ohio County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bowling Green, they will challenge Apollo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
