Basketball Recap: Jackson Extends Winning Streak to Four

It's playoff time, and Jackson had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 45-39 win over the Northview Titans on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Jackson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cayden Cornish led the charge by putting up ten points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Janiya McCoy, who posted 12 points.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Milan Johnson, who put up 13 points and five boards. Kelly Reynolds was another key player, posting ten points and six rebounds.

Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 21-10.

Looking ahead, Jackson will challenge North Oconee on Saturday. North Oconee will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Jackson surely won't give up without a fight. Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
