The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles will take on the Porter-Gaud Cyclones at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hilton Head Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Hilton Head Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind John Paul II and lost 58-44. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Golden Warrriors are ranked 98th).

Despite the defeat, Hilton Head Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ethan Foster posted 14 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Killian Gibson, who earned ten points.

Meanwhile, Porter-Gaud had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.6 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They blew past the Hurricanes, posting a 61-29 victory. The Cyclones have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Porter-Gaud pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points over those games. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-20.

Hilton Head Christian Academy took a serious blow against Porter-Gaud in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, falling 76-30. Can Hilton Head Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
