Softball Game Preview: Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors vs. River Forest Ingots

Hammond Bishop Noll is 8-2 against River Forest since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Ingots at 5:00 p.m. Neither Hammond Bishop Noll nor River Forest posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Thursday, Hammond Bishop Noll didn't have quite enough to beat Boone Grove and fell 2-1. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

River Forest's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hammond Bishop Noll has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .659. However, it's not like River Forest struggles in that department as they've averaged .542. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
