Pacific Ridge extended their postseason success on Thursday against Yucaipa. Their defense stepped up to hand the Yucaipa Thunderbirds a 1-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Firebirds as they're now sitting on 17 straight.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Nick Axelson, who's now up to 22 this season.

Pacific Ridge pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those nine games. As for Yucaipa, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Coming up, Pacific Ridge will be playing at home against Central at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Pacific Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. Yucaipa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
