Baseball Game Preview: Mt. Baker Mountaineers vs. Oak Harbor Wildcats

Mt. Baker is 0-5 against Oak Harbor since April of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Mountaineers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Mt. Baker has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mt. Baker is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Lakewood, falling 20-0.

Meanwhile, Oak Harbor was able to grind out a solid win over Meridian on Wednesday, taking the game 8-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Oak Harbor now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Mt. Baker, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Mt. Baker suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Oak Harbor in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Mountaineers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
