Basketball Recap: Oak Grove Comes Up Short

Oak Grove suffered their biggest defeat since March 2, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by the Summit Christian Academy Eagles and fell 69-38. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-25.

When it comes to explaining why Oak Grove lost, don't look at Phillip Nadeau. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Nadeau is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played.

Oak Grove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Summit Christian Academy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Oak Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-43 loss against Clinton on the 27th. As for Summit Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 77-40 victory against Hogan Prep Charter on the 28th.
