Softball Recap: Atholton Raiders vs. Marriotts Ridge

Atholton extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-8-1 in the process. They came up short against Marriotts Ridge, falling 12-6. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 14-1 to Marriotts Ridge when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Mackenzie Tasch was a standout: she got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Leah Kim, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.

Coincidentally, Atholton and Marriotts Ridge will both be playing Hammond the next time they take the field. The Raiders will head out to face the Golden Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Marriotts Ridge will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
