The Oxford Hills Vikings will face off against the Cheverus Stags at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Cheverus is hoping to do what Portland couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Oxford Hills' winning streak, which now stands at four games. Oxford Hills blew past Portland 63-39. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Bulldogs are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cheverus earned a 61-51 victory over Sanford on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Stags.

Oxford Hills is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Cheverus, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
