The New Britain Golden Hurricanes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. New Britain will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
New Britain is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Manchester: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Golden Hurricanes blew the Red Hawks out of the water with a 68-30 final score. Considering the Golden Hurricanes have won five games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

New Britain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Billy Seymour, who rushed for 107 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, and also threw for 220 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes. Those 220 passing yards gave Seymour a new career-high. Jayden Allen also helped out as he racked up 119 rushing yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: New Britain was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 346 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 209 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
New Britain's defense stepped up as well, laying out Quincy Tyler three times. Amari Crawley refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself. He was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making eight total tackles.
Meanwhile, Norwich Free Academy has more to be thankful for after their matchup against New London on Thursday. The Wildcats took down the Whalers 28-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.
New Britain better keep an eye on Xavier Sebastian. He was instrumental in Norwich Free Academy's win, rushing for 74 yards and one score on only seven carries, while also picking up 34 receiving yards. Makiye Howard also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

New Britain's record is now 8-1. As for Norwich Free Academy, their record now sits at 6-4.
