Falls Lake has gone a perfect 7-0 against NCSSM: Durham recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Firebirds will venture away from home to challenge the Unicorns at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

East Wake Academy hit Falls Lake with a ten-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Firebirds came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-3. The Firebirds have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Boston Moyers was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Hill, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

NCSSM: Durham has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Falls Lake, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Falls Lake beat NCSSM: Durham 4-0 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Firebirds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
