New Athens comes up short despite Ella Bohn's strong performance

The New Athens Yellow Jackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight defeat. Their tough 53-31 loss to Marissa/Coulterville might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Athens in their matchups with Marissa/Coulterville: they've now lost nine in a row.

When it comes to explaining why New Athens lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ella Bohn. Despite the final result, she scored two points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks. Bohn is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. Mallory Kohnen was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
