Basketball Game Preview: South Carroll Cavaliers vs. Severn School Admirals

The South Carroll Cavaliers and the Severn School Admirals will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, South Carroll ended up a good deal behind Westminster and lost 43-29. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Owls are ranked 34th).

South Carroll's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Leah Miller, who posted 15 points and six rebounds, and Jenna M Todd, who earned six points along with six rebounds and four blocks. M Todd has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Severn School). They blew past Northeast 63-26 on Monday. The Admirals pushed the score to 53-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had no chance of recovering from.

The win made it two in a row for Severn School and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for South Carroll, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
