Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Wildcats vs. Sublette Larks        
        
		
             Elkhart was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight  loss. They fell just short of the Sublette Larks by a score of  2-1. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Larks apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in October of 2023.
 Elkhart started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. After all that action, the final score was 20-25, 25-16,  25-21.
 Elkhart lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Holly Hollingsworth, who  had 11  aces. The dominant performance gave  Hollingsworth a new career-high in  aces.
 Even though they lost, Elkhart  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 36  aces. That's the most  aces they've managed all season.
 Elkhart's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Sublette,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-12.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Pratt the next time they take the court. Sublette will  host Pratt at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday, while Elkhart will play them later in the day, at 10:00  a.m.
