Baseball Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Middletown lost against Camp Hill on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blue Raiders might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-1 to the Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Blue Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Middletown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Swartz, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Camp Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Middletown will be playing in front of their home fans against Lancaster Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Crusaders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Camp Hill, they will head out on the road to square off against Milton Hershey at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
