Basketball Recap: Rocksprings Angoras vs. Knippa Crushers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Rocksprings Angoras gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 72-51 margin over Knippa. The win was nothing new for Rocksprings as they're now sitting on six straight.
Rocksprings' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Hernandez, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Hernandez has scored at least a third of Rocksprings' points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Rocksprings has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Knippa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-8-1.
Rocksprings will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Leakey has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28. As for Knippa, they will head out on the road to square off against the Cowboys at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. D'Hanis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
