Stanton took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Fremont-Mills, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Knights 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Knights back in May, they had to take a 13-3 loss.

Stanton's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Fremont-Mills, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Stanton has already played their next matchup, a 6-0 loss against Red Oak on the 14th. As for Fremont-Mills, they will face off against CAM at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
