Troup was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against New Summerfield on Friday. The Troup Tigers never let the New Summerfield Hornets get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Tigers have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Troup's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for New Summerfield, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troup will take on Gladewater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Troup's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Gladewater's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for New Summerfield, they will square off against Cushing at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
