Basketball Recap: Bessemer City Takes a Loss

Bessemer City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 70-20 loss at the hands of the Leeds Greenwave. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-25 back in November.

Bessemer City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Leeds, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Bessemer City will welcome Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leeds, they will challenge Gardendale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gardendale has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 172 points over their last three matches.
