Baseball Game Preview: West Craven Eagles vs. Eastern Wayne Warriors

The West Craven Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Eastern Wayne Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. West Craven is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

SouthWest Edgecombe hit West Craven with a eight-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-3.

Meanwhile, Eastern Wayne fell victim to Washington and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Pam Pack.

West Craven's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Eastern Wayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

West Craven got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March against Eastern Wayne by a conclusive 21-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
