Baseball Recap: Buckeye Central Takes a Loss

If Buckeye Central was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Plymouth last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bucks took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carey Blue Devils on Wednesday. The Bucks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Buckeye Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Carey, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buckeye Central will take on Upper Sandusky at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carey, they will venture away from home to face off against Van Buren at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Devils 3.7, the Black Knights 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
