Volleyball Game Preview: Tomah Timberwolves vs. Aquinas Blugolds + Official Tickets

Tomah is 0-10 against Aquinas since October of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Timberwolves will square off against the Blugolds at 7:00 p.m.

Tomah came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Sparta, falling 3-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 22, 2022, but that streak is no more.

While Tomah was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-22.

Aquinas not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against La Crosse Central as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Blugolds haven't had any issues with the Riverhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Aquinas never let La Crosse Central on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.

Tomah better keep an eye on Aubrey Coyne. She was instrumental in Aquinas' win, getting 18 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Coyne a new career-high.

Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Tomah, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-16.

Tomah suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Aquinas in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Timberwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
