Benny Lane made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. Anthony is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2 otherwise. Lane was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).

In other pitching news, Anthony Reyna looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
