Soccer Recap: Morro Bay Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Morro Bay can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Avenal Buccaneers on Friday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

Morro Bay's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Avenal, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Morro Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Avenal, they will face off against Chowchilla at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chowchilla will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Avenal surely won't give up without a fight.
