Baseball Recap: Alhambra Falls Short of Livermore in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alhambra can now relate to. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Livermore Cowboys on Wednesday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Morgan Tran made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Alhambra's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 5-2 (and 8-10 when he doesn't).

Alhambra's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Livermore, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-11.

Alhambra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Livermore, they will square off against Rancho Cotate at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
