Baseball Recap: Bradenton Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bradenton Christian walked away with it. They never let the Keswick Christian Crusaders get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Monday. The Panthers were shut out 10-0 the last time they took on the Crusaders, so the Panthers were just returning the favor.

Not much got past Garrett Duquette, who gave up just three hits to keep Keswick Christian off the board. Duquette has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bradenton Christian's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Holland Hume, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Those three hits gave Hume a new career-high. Matthew Johnson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

With the win, Bradenton Christian broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-9. As for Keswick Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Bradenton Christian nor Keswick Christian have any future games scheduled.
