Softball Recap: Greendale Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Greendale's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Port Washington Pirates. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Giselle Paszkiewicz, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Aubrey Cook was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Greendale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Greendale has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Port Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Greendale has already played their next contest, a 20-10 victory against Pius XI Catholic on the 28th. As for Port Washington, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against Cedarburg on the 28th.
