Basketball Recap: Everglades Prep Academy Find Success

Everglades Prep Academy's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes out 45-43. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-54 back in December of 2024.

Everglades Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everglades Prep Academy will take on Coral Gables at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Everglades Prep Academy is facing Coral Gables at the right time seeing as Coral Gables is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, they will square off against Redland Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
