Basketball Recap: Latta Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

It was a proper cat-fight when Latta duked it out withBethel on Monday. The Latta Panthers came out on top against the Bethel Wildcats by a score of 40-28. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Wildcats are ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Latta and bumps their season record up to 14-4. As for Bethel, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Latta will head out on the road to square off against Silo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Silo will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Latta surely won't give up without a fight. Bethel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
