Baseball Recap: Catskill Takes a Loss

If Catskill was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Germantown on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cats lost 13-3 to the Hudson Bluehawks on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cats of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Catskill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Story, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

Catskill's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hudson, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Catskill will face off against Taconic Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans have yet to allow a single run through four games this season, a streak the Cats will look to end. As for Hudson, they will square off against Cairo-Durham at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bluehawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
