Washington County won the last time they faced Jefferson County and Aiden Watts did his part to make sure it happened again. The Golden Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors on Friday, sneaking past 53-51 thanks in part to Watts, who posted 16 points and six boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.

Despite the loss, Jefferson County still got an impressive performance from Jordan Kitchens, who went 9-for-20 to rack up 21 points and three steals. Malik McBride was another key player, putting up seven points and 13 rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Washington County and bumps their season record up to 15-6. As for Jefferson County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Washington County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-45 defeat against Baldwin on the 7th. As for Jefferson County, they will square off against Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.04 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
