Football Game Preview: South Shore Vikings vs. Kennedy Knights + Official Tickets

The South Shore Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Kennedy Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Shore has given up an average of 26.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Shore is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Eagle Academy II just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. They were beaten by the Eagle 40-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Vikings haven't been shut out since back in August.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 48 points the game before, Kennedy was a bit more limited in their contest on Sunday. They were outmatched by Tottenville and fell 42-8. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Pirates are ranked fifth).

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for South Shore, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for South Shore against Kennedy in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 58-30 victory. In that matchup, the Vikings amassed a halftime lead of 34-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
