West came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-1 to the Whitney Wildcats. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kason Klaus, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Klaus' first of the season.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-1. As for Whitney, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

While West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
