Basketball Recap: Lake Mead Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Lake Mead Christian Academy lost against White Pine back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lake Mead Christian Academy Eagles fell just short of the White Pine Bobcats by a score of 48-45.

When it comes to explaining why Lake Mead Christian Academy lost, don't look at Aliyah Harris. Despite the final result, she posted 21 points. Harris' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Davina Fernandez-Guillen, who had nine points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead White Pine to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brenley Skadburg, who went 7 of 17 on her way to 15 points and four steals. Skadburg is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Layla Ruesch was another key player, putting up nine points.

Lake Mead Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for White Pine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lincoln County the next time they take the court. Lake Mead Christian Academy will host Lincoln County at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while White Pine will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
