Preview: MTI School of Knowledge vs. Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers
MTI School of Knowledge will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. MTI School of Knowledge has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2.
Last Tuesday, MTI School of Knowledge came up short against GEO Next Generation and fell 43-33.
Meanwhile, even though KIPP Legacy scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Crosspointe Christian Academy still came out on top. Crosspointe Christian Academy walked away with a 67-55 victory over KIPP Legacy.
Crosspointe Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Quinton Ford out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Ford hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Neby Yewubneh, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
MTI School of Knowledge's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.8 points per game. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
MTI School of Knowledge was dealt a bruising 98-42 defeat at the hands of Crosspointe Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for MTI School of Knowledge, Gavin Harvey (who scored 33 points along with eight steals and six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
