Baseball Recap: Cowan Takes a Loss

After flying high against Blue River Valley on Tuesday, Cowan came back down to earth. The Blackhawks lost 11-1 to the Wapahani Raiders on Thursday. If the Blackhawks were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Raiders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cowan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Brooks, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Cowan's record is now 7-5. As for Wapahani, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cowan will take on Frankton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blackhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Wapahani, they will square off against Bluffton at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
