Naperville Central faced Yorkville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Redhawks fell just short of the Foxes by a score of 14-12. That makes it the first time this season the Redhawks have let down their home crowd.

Naperville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Yorkville, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Naperville Central has already played their next matchup, a 39-28 victory against Naperville North on the 25th. As for Yorkville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-14 loss against Oswego East on the 24th.
