Basketball Preview: Teague Lions vs. Mexia Black Cats

Despite the loss, Teague got top-tier performance from Brayden Leija, who went 8 of 19 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Leija has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Clifford Coleman, who posted 11 points and five steals.

Teague's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Mexia, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Teague took a serious blow against Mexia when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 95-42. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Teague was down 52-24.
